| Peal Imperative Drill |
This exercise presents twenty Peal imperative verb forms drawn from the Biblical Aramaic corpus (Daniel and Ezra) and the standard imperative paradigm. For each form, students identify the three-letter root, give the full PGN (person, gender, number), and translate the form as a command. The drill covers all four persons of the imperative paradigm (2ms, 2fs, 2mp, 2fp) and includes both strong roots and the major weak-root classes introduced in BBA Chapter 15. Items 17–20 are negative imperative constructions (אַל + jussive; לָא + imperfect). |
