| Peal Infinitive Drill |
This exercise presents twenty Peal infinitive construct forms drawn from the Biblical Aramaic corpus (Daniel and Ezra) and the standard infinitive paradigm. For each form, students identify the three-letter root, identify any attached prefix (לְ, כְּ, בְּ, or none) and explain what it adds semantically (purpose/complement, temporal "when," bare verbal noun), and translate the full infinitive phrase. The drill covers strong roots, all major weak-root classes introduced in BBA Chapter 16, and includes three Haphel infinitives (items 18–20) as a preview of Ch21. |
